Personally, the focus on the job market/economy was a Hallelujah from my end.

And, why couldn't I have been born later so I could get a 10,000 tax credit for my education...and my debt forgiven after 10 or 20 years...

Some serious display of partisanship at some points...

It was the "be patient" speech and the "i'm tough" speech. A feigned attempt at aggressiveness, and a terrible portion on foreign policy if I may add. The partisanship was disgusting. The Lobbyists still run this country, and it is written all over those poker faces on the right side of the aisle.

In all seriousness though, this country has displayed an amazing amount of selfishness; Congress could not pass a bill on health care, but they could approve of a bill to decrease the standard volume level of advertisements on televisions. Seriously? Are you serious? Until actual negotiations take place and both sides are able to convey points about Employment, Health Care and War, there will forever be status quo.

Also, while I want Haiti to recuperate from the terrible natural disasters (two earthquakes), I find it amazing that we could afford to send aid to them, but we can't and have not done that for troubled cities in America that are crippled with drugs, poverty, disease and ignorance. We churn money out as if it really does grow on trees. Don't be hooked yet people, we are in a HUGE crisis in terms of how much money we truly have. I voted for Obama, but as the leader, he's the one that needs to mediate all of these negotiations. Popularity can't carry a leader for 4 years here.
