Ok, so we need to figure out a better system to get this done. After looking into it, an automated system is not really doable on my schedule and won't add too much help (I can do one to like automate which mix, but doing the ladder and everything is a little more involved than I can afford since I started a new job and moved across the country last week).
I vote we take Kush's idea and make the challenge and posting of mixes more organized. Here's what I suggest (it's a little confusing at first but it's not too bad):
All challenge submissions are due on a Friday, and voting will go till the next Wed. this is to ensure people have weekend and some weekdays to vote. It also means that on one day (wed) we can wrap up the challenges and adjust the ladder all at once.
Challenges can happen anytime, but submissions MUST occur on a Friday, and must occur within 2 Fridays. This gives anywhere from 1 week to 2 weeks. (for those finishing a challenge on wed, this gives around 1.5 weeks to get/send a challenge and finish a mix).
This will speed up the timeline a bit, no question. But I think it'll result in more challenges and more ladder movement which is the goal here.
I think this will help us out a bit cause it gives leeway for submissions and challenges, but also standardizes efforts by people reducing bottleneck if for instance I/Harman are busy (we've done a good job of posting the challenges).
In the meantime I'll figure out a way to automate the challenge process and send files out, but I think it'll have to be off btf because I'm having a hard time integrating into the forum software...
