I vote DJ 1

DJ 1 was a cool concept. It was overall pretty monotonous and I think you could've done a lot more with it.

DJ 2 right from the start the snare was a little off and overall stuck out in a pretty bad way. Overall needed to be more cohesive.

I like my mixdowns with alot of bass it felt like the second mix had no bass what so ever in the mixdown even though the leveling and layering was solid for both gotta give it to Dj 1.

DJ 1: Sick change-up to the mood of the track with the instrumental in the background. Overall, everything was well incorporated, but you could definitely add a few elements and changes hear and there to make it more dynamic. Big fan of the Joker sampling at the end haha.

DJ 2: I like the A$AP Rocky addition, integrates well! Some elements of the track do stick out, mainly from the original track, but good direction.

Definitely a good matchup. My final vote would have to go with DJ 1.

DJ 1 - cool concept. The deep bass was awesome, but using it throughout the mix gave it a monotone feeling, so I wish it was use more sparingly. I liked the use of the "ah ha" from the original song from 0:42 onward and that build up at 0:52-0:55 was nicely done. Nice job with the smooth/clean outro.

DJ 2 - this definitely had a closer feel to the original track (speed up of course). I felt the vocal 0:16 to 0:26 didn't really fit - just seemed like thrown in for the heck of it. That flute sounds in the background after 0:26 was subtle, but a really nice touch! It also helped with the transition to your sample. The rap lyrics at 0:50 onward fit better, but I felt that you could have cut them out earlier (like around the 1:00 minute mark) and done something else for the outro. Overall, I wanted to see this pushed to the next level and this fell short.

My vote: Giving this to DJ 1 for the creativity shown through the mix and trying to deliver something a bit different.

Close one here since both mixes have a similar layout. I really liked Praise the Lord in DJ 2's mix, but DJ 1 had the cleaner mix. However, I thought that the rap lyrics came in abruptly in DJ 1's mix and didn't do much for the mix overall. My vote is DJ 2 because of flow.
