If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Gabroo Shokeen's original name Shan Punjab Di? and Gabroo Punjabis' new name Apna Virsa, whereas GTV is just harjot

Not sure about the Gabroo Punjabis.. I haven't hear much about them after they placed 1st at DDA in 2007 (I believe).

Gabroo Punjabis are performing at Nachda Punjab (replacing Apna Virsa) so they probably are the same team

The Gabroo Punjabis last performance was in October of 2007 @ Bulldog Bhangra. We split immediately afterwards due to irreconcilable differences. Years later, a few of the guys went on to create Apna Virsa Bhangra Organization (teach Bhangra and Punjabi Culture to the youth of Solano County) and Apna Virsa Bhangra Group (Live Bhangra Team). Some of the remaining members slowly came back, me included. However, Apna Virsa was a completely seperate entity as a whole. Recently we made the decision (for personal reasons) to restart under the Gabroo Punjabis. Though many of the members may be the same, we have absolutely no affiliation to Apna Virsa in any way whatsoever.

Apna Virsa is still compromised by a great group of people who teach Bhangra and Punjabi Culture to the youth here in Solano County.

As the second generation of the Gabroo Punjabis, we strive to continue the promotion of Folk Bhangra in the most respectful and positive manner ever. Just like the good ol days! It's good to be back, we look forward to meeting all the teams @ Nachda Punjab and other future shows

since this is a thread started just before WBBC announces their team match ups, I shall list my top 5 match ups i would wanna see:

SGPD vs. NJ vs. nypd (pick 2)

Shan e Punjab (BC) vs. Van City --- we kinda saw this at idols but HK came out and said Van City wasn't at full strength...

BK vs. ABC

Fauj vs. Furteelay

Tag vs. PFA

This is kinda regional except for tag vs. pfa. but i think we could re arrange bk, abc, fauj, and furteelay into great match ups as well.
