A team that is able to survive and do well for multiple years is a team that has been able to replenish their roster with new talent when original members leave. Some may call them a DYNASTY. If VCU has been a great team for the last 3 years+, then the university (and in my opinion, the "territory") has been able to provide them with enough good dancers to not only create good teams but keep their rosters strong.
Yeah, we can argue about whether we consider JJ/PPA great teams but I don't think that was the point of this thread. I can just say that if I wanted to start my own team, I would start the team in either Toronto, SoCal/NorCal or Virginia Commonwealth University because all those locations would have enough great dancers.
lol whats your point. no one is arguing that vcu isnt a great team, nor that its not a dynasty. the thread title asked for territory that produces great teamS - which clearly is tru for cali and toronto. saying that u could start a new, potentially great team from vcu alone is obviously possible, but isnt going to happen nor is it happening currently. the only way to include vcu in this is by saying va/dc area combined, but even that, its nowhere close to tdot or cali
