i was thinkin..if there was more youth involved in the gurdwara politics would it lower the level of non sense like this? and attract more younger generationss to come to the gurdwara?
No, because I feel our parent generation will never be "cool" with youngsters stepping in and taking leadership roles in areas where it is ruled by predominately the older crowd. I've gone to meetings where the leaders of the gurdwara's and other organizations gathered and I kid you not a single one was under the age of 35 and I was the only female- it was probably one of the most uncomfortable meetings I've ever been in and I can totally see why our youth is so turned off from the egoistical domination within our society.
For me the gurdwara is my time to be one with god and I honestly shut off the rest of the world around me and focus on my faith but that has come after YEARS of hating going to the gurdwara and anything related to religion. The bases of me wanting to be a part of it again is due to friends who have shown me a "better" way than what has been taught to me my whole life. I completely relate to our generation finding religion a joke when the majority of it is based on ego and domination. So, Raja to answer your question I think it won't make any difference but perhaps make things worse and creating more politics.
