AFBC: Roster Sign-up Open!

Hey Guys,

Here is the link to sign up your team's performance (or another team's performance if you think they should be in it). Sign-up will be open till June 1st, 2009 and only one performance per team is allowed.

EDIT: Only competition performances from June 1, 2008 to May 31st, 2009 will be accepted.

As I said before, we can place team performances into categories in order to remove bias and we can do that after we get the teams selected. (Ie: No need to have a Live category if we get no live teams in the competition). I definitely need to know from you guys which categories would be best (Live/Music?, Single-Gender/Co-ed?, etc...)

The following features will be in very soon (1-2 days):
- Ability to see the automatically updated roster
- Ability to send request to remove entries (If a team wants to substitute a performance with another performance)

Feel free to post feedback about the site, design, features and any bugs that you may encounter. I definitely appreciate suggestions!

Note: Website Design works best in Firefox. I'll fix the design issues that occur in Chrome soon. (No one should be using IE anyways :p)

NEW FEATURE: Automatically updated roster! (When you add a team, it's added to the roster at the bottom of the page). Currently I'm not digging the way the roster is displayed, so I might mess around with it more later. You may need to refresh to see your team there.

Also, we have 16 teams already, which is ONE FOURTH of the competition! I may need to purge 2-3 entries because they do not fit in the given time period. (We will do a Best of All Time version later!) Apologies for not emphasizing that and keep them coming! ;)

Really? I'm pretty sure I pay for the domain/host - so much more flexibility than school's server. (ektadance.com) EKTA is an organization I am President of here at Case. I pay for the site lol

LOL I do monitor it, so here's the IP of our gutsy friend: 71.142.99.98 Apparently, he/she is from Sunnyvale, CA. My aunt lives in Sunnyvale too!!! I love Sunnyvale!

If someone from Bhangra Empire wants to put up a proper entry for their team (make it this year too - not Bruin last year), feel free - just dont make it offensive. Empire is sick, but don't ruin your name by doing something stupid like that (if someone from your team was behind that)!

yo kinnell bro...no one from empire wrote that. It'd be stupid/immature on our part if we did that. And once bruin is over...im sure you'll get a proper entry from us since our videos aren't up yet =]

Awesome job with getting this organized and progressing quickly with this idea Kinnell bhai :)

.TK sub-domain rocks my socks! The logo is nice. The website design and implementation is quite simple; your source code is so brief, lovin' it! ;D That's the way it should be since the purpose is quite simple.

It looks like you have generated quite a bit of interest with sign-ups and I hope you generate even more interest in voting!


Perhaps a mod could sticky this to help you out more? Keep up the great work.
