Happie! I think we're planning on doing it. I need to talk to my teammates to see if everyone can do it. But thanks for letting us know. Also, it was nice meeting all you girls.

i find it funny that everyone is arguing on behalf of us for something that wasnt even a real giddha competition. im not hating but id love to see majajan come out and compete at a real giddha competition on april 11th and see what happens there...
Majajana IS in TPD right - but it's the one from Sydney not the one from Orange County

its ok.
haters come and go.
the trophy says it all :]
The trophy does NOT say it all. Being an observer in the audience and comparing the three giddha teams, I think UC Davis Giddha and J.A.T.T had a better chance of placing than Majajana. Majajana had a good attempt, but it wasn't the true essence of what giddha stands for. You girls were entertaining, but you lacked energy and enthusiasm. For watching Malwai Giddha for the first time, J.A.T.T did an amazing job!! (Especially the drunk uncle bit!)

I felt as if UC Davis Giddha captured the true meaning of giddha. They looked like they knew what they were doing and were still having fun while doing it. I'm not a big giddha fan, but watching these girls enlightened me into thinking that there's more to giddha than clapping your hands and going woo woo. UC Davis Giddha gained much love and support that night from the audience. And that to me is much more important than winning a trophy and flaunting it around after the show.

Im sorry if i offended anyone from the comment i made earlier. i didnt mean it in a negative manner. My team is just so thankful to god and everyone else who supported us of winning. We respect all the other gidha teams and see them as older role models. After SoCal we plan to learn from this experience and grow as a team. thanks for understand! and sorry if i offended anyone!<3

Jazz, thank you so much for your support. You comment couldn't be any more dead on than it was. UCD Giddha really did gain lots of love and support from the audience, and honestly, it was really great to see giddha being so well received, especially in SoCal.

In all seriousness, UCD giddha makes it an effort to spread the idea that Giddha is not boring...its fun! For many years, we've been one of the few giddha teams, and we are really happy to see that now giddha teams are popping up all over the place. We hope that one day giddha can perhaps be just as well received as bhangra, and there will be no need for giddha teams to use the help of "non-giddha" mixes to make their routines more entertaining.

Anyways, please come out to Tor Punjaban Di on April 11th, and support the art of giddha along with your favorite giddha team!
