it takes time pritpal, look how long its taken North American bhangra to get to where it is today. By the time your 18 or 19 there may well be a lot more competitions. As for showdown, it's better than nothing, and it's still growing, these guys are the only ones running one at the moment, give them some props for that. lol I'm sticking up for them even though we got screwed over but it happens :) hopefully one day we'll have lots of good quality uni teams and independent teams coming together to compete.

What we need is people to come from America and teach us because I hate the style over here I mean half the teams over hear aren't doing the moves properly :-\
I think this one best teams I seen from the UK:

Hay guys, just a thanks for the feedback on kingstons performance.... looking at it now it does look like abit of a KJ routine, even tho when i choreographed it, i just wanted it to be simple but in sync and more for entertainment rather than solid sik bhangra moves (as the judges, tarsem kalyaan and channi singh, were changed to 4x4 last minute). In that Jugnu bhangra video, thats my Mummah singing for them, wouldn't rate them as the best group in the U.K. ... would have to be between 4x4 and Gabhru Punjab De i think personally.

Btw that 'ohh my goshh' part in the kingston routine started as a joke of doing a 'tea-bag' action which later just evolved into that sorta leaning thing lol quite funny looking back and seeing every1 liking that raandom action

I don't think your in between 4x4 and GPD, your probably better. Those teams aren't as good as they used to be man I mean like they have no dancers left with them. I think the newer teams are going to be getting better man. Oh and bro, cut down with the dancers lol... 16 dancers is just too much use 8-10-12 and then it's just right.
University teams in my opinion have to start looking at traditional bhangra man because the stuff you guys are doing now is just :-\
Leicester would be amazing if they keep on practicing hard core on a set because I think they would pretty good, keep up the good work Faysal :)

Wtf tea bagging in bhangra....

I love you Faysal ;D
You make me feel so much better by saying that. I hope it does happen though. Why don't you start up a competition, you'd earn a whopper!!

Pritpal, plenty of teams in the US have learned from Dr Youtube and Dr Google. Every year you find better and better resources. Also find some uncles who did bhangra in India ;)
