you guys did great loved the performance but honestly you guys really need to get real khunde. Many teams use fake khunde like you guys and im surprised that judges dont give those teams low marks for traditionality because the khunda is a huge part of punjabi culture

i could be wrong, but im 90% sure they use bamboo.....

not enough can be said about the flawless execution you bring to every competition. you guys have seriously raised the bar for all collegiate teams, and hopefully everyone else rises to the challenge. congrats on the amazing year so far. drumline was an amazing idea, and so cool that you were able to pull it off.

Congrats UNC! Only got to watch half in person but just watched the whole video and it had so many strong points! VERY VERY CLEAN and so creative with the formations and choreography! Really enjoyed watching it. I think the pace of the routine was a bit slow at times and the energy level was up and down at many points throughout the routine. There were some parts where a lot of people were barely lifting their feet off the ground and if you all can keep the energy up throughout your entire routine it would be absolutely flawless. Nevertheless, awesome performance!

if there was one main critique i'd have for this, especially compared to the other teams of the night, i would agree with pace/energy. everything is smooth as hell, synchronized, and very, very precise. and maybe that level of pace/energy is something you sacrifice for having such a clean performance, or maybe its just your style. granted this is all from a video. regardless, this is a fantastic performance that you should all be incredibly proud of. you showed us that you don't have to be vcu to be a college team on this level and i think that's a great thing for college teams to see.

khunde are an important part of bhangra/punjabi culture, but why should not having the rounded extra 4 inches make a team lose multiple points on their score????

the hooked part of the khunda makes it a khunda/gandasa without the hooked part it is just a stick imo.

I saw you guys twice live. VPD and Elite. And i must say - You have some phenomenal female dancers who dominate the stage! But of course, so insanely clean and crisp.

the jhoomer song is "Jhooti" by Nachhatar Gill. and i agree about the mix, extremely well made! No words for the impact that this set made on me and undoubtedly the rest of the collegiate circuit. UNC imo made an even bigger impact than VCU did with their Elite 8 2010 performance. Such an inspiration and shows that simple, graceful bhangra is still all that you need to win. Great job guys!
