Why is there no time limit set for new accounts before they post?
Have the admins not learned from the past few years?

There be a couple days - week after creating account before posting. Seriously....90% of BTF this past couple months has been trolls and crap posts.

Because people have lives and jobs and other responsibilities outside of this website.... If you don't like this then don't use it

I sort of agree and disagree with your post. While it's good to have safeguards against trolls, there will always be those few people that do that. In terms of setting up a new account and having a time limit or moderation of beginning posts, I'm all for that. I've definitely seen people been trolled hard by "1 post" accounts that are directly attacking an individual or group but that's where moderation of the forums come into play. Censorship is definitely NOT the answer but some proper "forum rules" should be implemented formal, if they haven't been already (haven't noticed it but proper etiquette should be common sense).

Dont mean censorship anything, but more of new users can't comment or post for at least a week - 2 weeks after creating an account. Can't post in Main discussion if post count is under 5 posts, etc etc etc.

If admins have the time to create UBJ, they have time to implement simple changes to clean up BTF.

Pretty sure not a single admin has helped create UBJ. There have been multiple posts on this forum talking about how that is a separate thing entirely from BTF, and that is being spearheaded as a Non-BTF affiliated thing.

I'd also disagree with that because what if you're a new person and you don't really post often but wanted to make an account and look around. And then one day someone makes a post in main discussion that you really want to respond to but cant' because you haven't met the minimum. Yes trolls are annoying and there are ways to combat them, but I think the solution you're providing may create more problems than it'd solve. Also what's gonna stop a troll from commenting randomly in order to get to the minimum posts and then resume trolling? They're anonymous so it's not like they'd care if they're spamming a bunch of threads. Again it's definitely an issue that can/should be tackled but I don't believe this is the way to go about it.
