From what I understand, when vocals are pitched up really high, you can't tell the difference between keys. A DJ can use this to their advantage by being able to use whatever instrumental/bassline they want and it won't sound offkey. This is how so many DJs get away with using a template for...
DJ1: The hek sounded out of key to me. I thought the horn really stuck out and all the little details didn't really seem to fit well in the mix.
DJ2: The mix also didn't really sound clean, it was kinda mushy at some parts.
