Dj 2
Dj1: Good overall, just got outdone by creativity of dj2. Enjoyed how it kinda told a story, and built into the drop well.
Dj2: dope idea I was wondering the entire time how you were gonna weave the two songs but it hit. only comment is that a lot of the original song's filtered bits...
Dj 1
Dj 1 : Cool ideas in the instrumental and cleaner production, but mid range still sounded a little muddy which was preventing the snare, claps and riser from getting through. Also felt like it could have used some more panning in some places to give a more expansive feel.
Dj 2: I really...
Dj 2
Dj 1 was clean but 1 dimensional.
I really enjoyed Dj 2, glad you took a risk with the production style and took advantage of relatively uncrowded initial track to add your own production and feel to it. Great use of the sound bite, made this sound like a professionally done remix
Dj 2
both were well crafted in terms of production, but I thought dj2's vocals shone through the mix better. Also enjoyed bits of other songs in DJ2's mix to keep me interested, while after a certain point DJ1's mix got kind of repetitive
DJ 1- felt more complete and liked the vibe of the verses. The drops sounded a bit off to me like there was some clipping or something.
DJ 2 - agree with the bassline comment above- that was cool but it didn't sound like much else was going on with the mix.
I vote DJ 1
DJ 1 - The verse felt a bit disjointed with the punjabi song and the english one trading vocals but it was well mixed. I liked the overall vibe though, it was smooth.
DJ 2: The atmospheric funky thing was super cool but also kinda disorienting, I didnt know what I was listening to for the first...
Dj 2 definitely sounded better produced - the percussion was dope and the stereo imaging was nice and clear but DJ 1's mix was so smooth. Did not see that song going in the direction that DJ 1 mixed it. I vote DJ 1
DJ 2 - piano was too loud for me. Also didn't seem to fit the vibe of the rest of the mix. That being said, I really would have liked this mix without that piano.
DJ 1 - There were some overlapping vocals in the second drop that sounded off, but otherwise pretty solid mix
I vote DJ 1
For both mixes i thought the drops could have used a bit more oomph. I liked the fact that DJ 2 didnt pitch shift the vocals, I thought it gave the mix more weight, but I also wasn't a huge fan of the effects on the vocals after DJ 2's drop. DJ 2's mix would definitely be a slower saap segment...
DJ 1 - Sounded great in terms of spacing, levels etc. The horn crowded the mix a lot - It was great in the intro and the drop but it could have been stripped back a bit for the verse to give the mix some more drama.
DJ 2 - Even if the mix was a little distorted, overall I'd rather use DJ 2's...
