2017 Delaware Baisakhi Mela and Bhangra Competition

The Sikh Center Association of Delaware will be holding its second annual Delaware Baisakhi Mela and Bhangra Competition. The event will be held on April 16, 2017. Teams will be selected on a first come first server basis.

The top three winners of this competition will also receive prize money. The exact amount hasn't been decided yet , but last year we distributed $1200, $800 and $500 to the winning teams. We are looking for at least 6 teams for this competition. Please email vishwassodhi@gmail.com to register your team.

On behalf of the Punjabi community of Delaware, we would like to thank all the teams that participated in the second Delaware Baisakhi Blast Bhangra Competition hosted by the Sikh Center of Delaware (SCOD). This competition gave much needed exposure to the youth of the community and has inspired them to learn Bhangra. Below are the placings:

3. Blue Jay Bhangra


We would also like to thank Temple Bhangra and Boston University Bhangra for their participation. We can't wait until next year to make this event a lot bigger and better.
