And Hardeep I wouldnt take too much offense- just because someone is brought up in the Pindhs doesn't automatically make them "pindu." Being "pindu" encompasses certain mannerisms, viewpoints, education levels, etc etc. And yes there is a stigma that pindu people are lazy (not agreeing or disagreeing)... not sure if using slang directly reflects being lazy though.

I think that generalization is a bit harsh. There are a lot of people who pride themselves on being punjabi and work hard to maintain their "pendu-ness" for lack of a better word.
