I think that the racism still prevalent in society is repugnant. As much as I think people have gotten over the integration of African-Americans into society, I still find it amazing how slow it takes racial tension to disappear. Meistro should be a cop. Enough said.

It is my belief that the role of cop should not be viewed as a position of power. Rather, it should be taken on with humility, as a position of service to the community. Although a common motto of law enforcement is "to serve and protect," the sad reality is that it is often only the wealthy, the white, and Washington that are being served and protected.

The selfless sacrifice of police officers over the generations continues to get marred by the actions of those who twist the tools of justice towards power and either do not do enough or do things their own way. The actions of these individuals have further tarnished the image of cops in the minority view and only piles onto the long list of wrongs committed by those. It is sad because I have some friends who have families who are cops who still hold onto a high level of ethics and commitment and this does nothing but injure their stature. What I dont get is how people like this could get into the police force when it should be an honor and privilege to wear that badge.
