Unfortunately, a friend and I had to catch an early flight so we couldn't stay out long enough for Malkit Singh to arrive...but even without him the afterparty was absolutely amazing! Music was awesome (extremely extremely loud...when certain songs came on I had to sit down cuz the bass was making me dizzy and shit), venue was great, multiple bars were set up (drinking age in Canada is 19, i think), security and coat-check were cool, performers went in free with a ticket and wrist-band, live dholi throughout much of the night, and the club was not in a sketchy area of town. Only bad things that I can remember were that Malkit Singh was late (as expected) and there were a few interrupting announcements from the VIBC organizers and one of their partner radio stations...Best part of the night was that the organizers thought ahead and booked a small event room at the hotel where all the teams stayed from around 1am-5am for teams to come back and relax in and munch on bar food (pretzels, popcorn, chips, dips, water) when they came back from the afterparty rather than bother all the hotel guests running around or cause damage to the rooms. From what i heard, everything went down pretty well...
