Acid Pro Mix Help

Hi,


Just like to first start that I'm new to using Acid Pro. I've had it full installed and I've practised with transitions. Nothing else. I've had a look at a few tutorials, but learning to use this program is a very slow process.


1. First thing I need help with is beat matching tracks and layering the tracks to make it sound in beat and in time. I have a DJ kit and Virtual DJ and so I know about beatmatching but I want to be able to learn to do it in Acid Pro (if you know what I mean).
2. Second thing I want to know is effects. How do I apply flanger, phaser etc? Is there plug in's to download? Pls link me tutorial videos/tutorial guide and link to download for free
3. Drum packs. How do I download and install for free? How do I put them into the mix? One I'm specifically looking for is trap drums (ones included in the chorus. Its like a fast paced high hat/snare. https://soundcloud.com/deejayjsm/notorious-jatt-2-h-sandhu )
Also want to know how to add bass, kicks, etc.
4. How do I compress this shit? I'll add like a few tracks and it'll be 55mb file. wtf




I'll really appreciate the help. I want to make mixes for fun and I'm not sure where to start.

Acid pro 7 has been popular for half a decade. There's 6 years of stuff online, just search google and youtube, it's not hard to get the info you need. Alot of times you might need to just watch a video in a different program, and apply the same ideas to acid. VSTs don't change between programs, EQ is same. Only difference is where buttons are located.

what do you mean that you add a few tracks and it's 55mb? Do you mean the acid file or the overall rendered output?

Acid files will not grow large with added tracks, the simply store info not the data. If you save as an acid-zip file then you are saving the tracks with the acid file, this is primarily just for sharing. If you send someone an acid file it does nothing since they don't' have the tracks, so the acid-zip is the way to share acid files+music.

If the rendered output is 55mb then you are probably saving as a wav. This is a lossless compression, switch to mp3 you should come back down to single digit Mb. Again, this is not the forum for it unless you ahve a specific question. Go to the internet, looks some stuff up. Then post a detailed question with what you tried and where you need help, we're not mind readers and we're not sitting there with you.

Sorry mate, I just know that If i come on this forum then I can get a definite answer! You pretty much answered my question too lol
