there is a "selection tool" at the top, alongside the pencil or Paint tool, eraser tool and all that. It looks like a mouse cursor (the white arrow).
you can use that to select several tracks (rows) or clips, and drag them around. Note that the selection tool's icon is surrounded by a dotted box.

It is difficult to drag songs when you have tempo changes because those tempo changes don't move as well. (or at least for me they don't).
For this type of problem, I've made a section of the same length as the song that needs to be deleted and then deleted the section (not the label), so it deletes not only the song, but the time it took.
