Alternative to dagga skin

Helllo...

I was wondering if there is an alternative skin to use other than goat skin for the dagga side.

i've used a synthetic skin before, which sounds really good, but was wondering if there's anything else others have used.

ive heard of calf skin being used, I think the one I have on one of mine is calf skin it sounds ok

You want to have thick skin if you can you will need to research this and see different animals. I'm looking at making my own daggs skins from various animal skins.

I have elk skin and will be getting moose in the fall.
I hear beaver is thick too.
Elephant might be a little hard to get a hold of ;-)
