So you guys are a brand new team, not a bad effort but lots of things to work on here...

-Energy: As you said, energy is super low and at the end some dancers just sort of gave up...that can't happen!! Do run throughs of the whole routine over and over and over again to build stamina.

-Moves: First and foremost, the form and the way the moves are done really needs improvement/work and if you can get someone trained to teach you that works best but if not keep watching videos of solid live and music teams to get fundamentals down (like Heeray Punjab De, Rooh Punjab Di, Gabroo Shokeen, SGPD, VCU, Nachdi Jawani, etc.).

-Cleanliness: Once you learn how the moves are supposed to be performed, clean clean clean them up...it looks very sloppy right now, people's hands/legs are all over the place and moves aren't being completed.

-Uniformity: everyone needs to be on the same page! once you teach how the moves are done, you have to sync yourselves to look like one team

-Oufits: Watch more pagg tying videos...one person needs to really take the time and practice tying them over and over, the "phul" on the side is coming out way too much and the turla looks to short....make sure you do the proper starching and all that to get them right!

-Mix: too many songs maybe? stick with a few good ones...

The main points here are that you have to learn how to do the moves correctly first then comes completing them and the uniformity aspects and then you just need to practice practice practice to hit those formations and come together as a team!

i dont know if this is just me, but there seems to be bits and pieces from other mixes (like at the beginning - AEG and NJ). just watch out for that kinda of stuff, even if its just similarities.

You guys claim you don't "borrow" mixes yet @5:25 in your vid it straight sounds like sher's bruin mix...

@ 1:09 from sher's mix Sher Foundation - Bruin Bhangra 2008

Having a wild mix with bass drops and bruahs/hois everywhere does not help your team if you are not using that to your advantage. It just hurts your ears.

Lots of work needed across all technical areas -- form, synchronization, energy, etc as pooja mentioned.

that was definitely the sher mix lol... i wasnt listening for aeg or nj so idk, but yeah-- be careful with that. never take another team's mix segment to a competition (or i would even say a serious enough exhibition where there is a stage).

The name threw me off for a sec I was like wait this doesnt look like APD..... Originality and uniqueness in everything you do (including your name) goes a long way in the bhangra world.

Then we also need to stop the "Punjab De" revolution. SGPD, WPD, HPD, NYPD, LAPD. too many police departments.

they used parts not the whole mix...also its jus a song.........chill out dog.... the team name is ANAKH SHERAN DI....they knew ppl will say Anakh Punjab Di so.......enjoy the bhangra and leave that knicpicking stuff out........
Use even 1 second of any other team's mix without their permission and I don't care how good your team is, you get no respect. Yeah, it may not be a competition, but if you don't give credit where it's due and hell, even try to justify it saying "its only a part, just a song not the whole mix", you're just starting off on the wrong foot. It's just advice, bro but even established top teams give each other credit when they do gigs with parts of each other mixes and routines. No one is too cool for giving respect where its due. :)

Every team starts somewhere and has to build, you guys have a good start and potential:

-You have decent costumes, but poorly tied paghs and chadres/lungis which detracted from the dance. Now that you have a performance under your belt, no more excuses. Learn how to do it or find someone who'll do it for you

-Fast switching mixes can work, but there has to be a vision to them. i.e. you can't just take top 40 popular bhangra songs and just make a mix....if for no other reason than that you will not be recognizable. Every single song you did reminded me of another team's performance because I've heard every single one in at least 3-4 routines in the past 3 months. Nothing different, nothing memorable so try finding some less popular songs use them or remix them or something this will help you in long run

-Do NOT use another team's mix without permission. Do NOT ask us for feedback on the mix and then tell people to chill out when we tell you it's bullshit to take others work (without credit, it's the lack of acknowledgment more than the action). When you ask for criticism quietly take it like medicine or you will not get feedback the next time when you may really need it.

-There is no excuse for standing during a song towards the end of a performance. If it wasn't a serious enough performance for you to practice and train and put on a decent effort....then why should we watch and critique, ya know? It's disheartening to an audience, whether live or video, to see half of a team just standing around lifeless. Like the pagh and chadre....No Excuses. Practice and put on a solid effort that's the point of performing!
