Personally I feel we didnt jack anything from Nachdi Jawani. The Break in the begining of the set is similar but that is all. Nachdi Jawani is an elite team, lol we're trying to get there. I think because of the same song choice u probably feel we "jacked" a part of their performance. We have friends on Nachdi Jawani who saw this set and felt like we did not jack anything at all. So your comment does have me confused ??? And when we actually compete there will definitely be more dancers, like I said in an earlier post we have a team of 8 dancers.

yes, we dont feel that we jacked anyones set, many people use similar song selection , the songs were chosen based on audience response not by viewing other performances. If you could pinpoint some parts that may have gone similar by pure coincidence that would help.
Okay my prends! :D Thanks for your nice responses. I just felt the opening, as you pointed out, was exactly the same (or quite similar) as Nachdi Jawani's set. I mean there are a thousand ways to coreograph to the song Dushmani. More than just the song being the same, if you watch the actual set performed by NJ and your team, it's very similar. But again, this is just my take on it.

I know you guys are just starting out, so I just wanted to make sure you weren't gonna build up a routine by taking parts from different routines/teams (as this method has been done by teams in the past). It's good to know your head is in the right direction and you'll have a full roster for competitions. Look foward to seeing you perform (or seeing your videos). :)

Best of luck!!

Overall I thought this was impressive, you guys have great energy and if one of you choreographed this then madd props, for a high school team this was great - keep it up. I agree with Mariam's comments, and here's some more constructive criticism. Sure a lot of things (increased synchronization and stamina for example) will come with practice but still good to point it out now.

1:16 - Orange, what happened man you seemed to lose energy

For the Chak Dow Ge "drumroll" intro, everyone should try to make their daang's arc more synchronized, it seemed like 3 guys did an arc over the head and the yellow guy did something else.

1:54 - maybe it's the camera angle, but seems like Blue travels very far back and forth with the step, whereas the yellow guy behind him is kind of dancing in place (not covering as much ground) - i think it would look better if you two matched and stayed in line, just a thought

3:06 - yellow get LOW! haha

*Naseebo* - Choreo was ILL, went very well with the music and you guys killed it with the energy!

5:09-5:15 - Yellow, where's the energy? just seemed to be going through the motions during this time, stopped lifting your legs and moving your shoulders and such

6:07 - Orange man, end your phumania cleaner, like make sure you actually hit that last jugni pose, strike it properly and get low/set your arms in proper place - you just seemed rushed and quickly skipped to the next move, but the beauty of phumania is ending it nice and smooth (happily haha)

6:24-6:38 - liked the mix-up of Munde Pub here, very cool sound. Song selection overall seemed very aligned with SGPD (Goriye, Doliyan Ch Jaan, Chak Dow Ge, plenty others) and so did the style - which is not a bad thing I mean I guess Toronto-ans overall will have similar style, and these are all pretty popular songs, I'm just pointing out that when I watched it the mix/song selection struck me as reminiscent of sgpd

6:47 - feel bad for blue guy, slipped on a note it seems!

there were some small mistakes which happens to everyone of course - like when you guys first come out with daangs I think yellow guy got a little ahead of himself and started pulling the daang down (everyone else holding it still above their heads)...

anyways, that's just my humble opinion of the dance, and overall i will reiterate I would give you guys 9 out of 10 taking into account your age and the fact it's a wedding function, small number of dancers, etc. excellent work and keep it up...

lastly what are the songs at 3:40 and 5:05?

We definitely appreciate the comments, and like I said before we will adress all these needs. There is always room for improvement. Thanks again for really being specific with the mistakes and what not. We just started so hopefully our future is succesful. About the SGPD type song selection, another member of our team said it, we choose songs based on audience response, not what other teams use. Dholian ch jaan, chak doon ge are some of the most common used songs by alot of bhangra teams. Goriyee we felt was very unique, nachdi recently used it aswell for a culture show, so i dont really feel that there was a legit similarity between our song selection and SGPD'S. ONCE AGAIN, SGPD IS AN ELITE TEAM, WE'RE TRYING TO GET THERE, I SAID THE SAME THING ABOUT NACHDI.

And um about the songs u requested for, at the moment I don't have them but as soon as I do, i will post them up for sure. ;D THANK U AGAIN ARJUN, i really appreciate it.
