I really like local or regional artist at comps. It gives them a chance to share their talents. The plus side to that is that it will be easy too coordinate and probably alot cheaper than getting a huge artist. Keep it local and keep it fresh and your audience will enjoy. As for certain artist I think it really depends on them and if they really feel like comming out and putting on a show. Ive heard Manak-e is good and the culture shock trio.

manak e is meh. as is RDB. 747 is retarded too but they get them girls screamin.

Personally I agree with getting a local artist because it is cheaper and gives the artist more exposure. With the saved money, comps could probably provide better ________ etc..

From experience:

Culture Shock Trio: Sucks and lip syncs. Plus they're weird and creepy at afterparties.
H-Dhami: Surprisingly solid. Actually sings
RDB: Average at best. They live off the popularity of their songs I guess
PBN: Pretty decent; once again, he goes by his songs and partially lip syncs.
Bilz and Kashif: Kind of average live.

Is there really a need to keep a punjabi singer? I think bringing a group like Penn-Masala or any other acapella group sort of brings diversity to the show and doesn't bore the audience with the same type of music being played repetitively.

p.s. "Bhangra Competitions should just stick to Bhangra teams doing Bhangra. If you wanna see a guest artist go to a Concert or something like that ??? "

That's actually a really good idea, having acts that maybe arent bhangra related but are hype for the crowd....honestly whenever I compete it almost has become commonplace to have a sucky performer at the end who you just wna finish their act. also, having more local, younger acts is kind of better because I remember at BDM when the staff needed to stall on announcing the winner, the performers just stayed on stage and entertained the audience with the teams which im sure was a relief for the organizers
