Austin Bhangra Team

Hey everyone!

I just moved to Austin and I wanted to continue dancing Bhangra. I have heard of Texas Bhangra here at UT but I didn't know if there are any other Bhangra teams in the area.

I know try-out for many Bhangra teams are starting now or soon so I want to make sure I can make it.

Hi Arti, welcome to Texas and the ATX!

If you're looking for a team just within Austin, Texas Bhangra (part of UT Austin) is your only option.

There are teams in other places such as San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, etc.. but I am not sure if dancing on those teams will be a viable option for you, since doing everything over the web is quite challenging for the dancer and the team.

I'm in the Austin area as well these days, so hit me up if you need any contact info of teams in TX.

I just moved to Austin as well (although it is my hometown).
I'm not sure if Texas Bhangra requires you to be a student to dance with them. Regardless, I know their second tryout date is today.
I'm really interested in doing bhangra in Austin as well so if you don't become involved with TX Bhangra feel free to contact me!
