grainy+low budget
interesting to u??
Agree with you Varun. It seems like very low-budget. The big, plain/arial fonts in green letters that appear with very uncreative transitions are a sign of someone making it with very little time on their hands and/or using a simple one-click software like Windows Movie Maker. Also, I'm not a fan of the "splash dots" that randomly appear in various colors.. reminds me of Nickelodeon.
The video quality if just terrible (even in "HD") via youtube. The promo video should definitely be a higher bitrate/quality format (maybe XViD or X264) and should NOT be put on youtube. Why not embed the video on your website (http://www.avap2009.com/) instead? You can direct people to get all their information at once place, rather going to two seperate sites (youtube & avap2009). Maybe you can use a flash video to conserve on bandwidth if that's an issue.
On the plus side, the mix is tight... but that was a given since it came from the Ace & Nana CD.
Honestly, I expected a lot more from the AVAP committee. With all the resources they have & how long the individuals associated with them have been a part of bhangra scene (and seen other competition website/promo videos/etc), an overall better promo video is almost expected.

P.S. - This is NOT to hate on the AVAP Commitee or the competition itself, because I'm a big fan on the direction you guys are headed.
