special shout-out to 3D. after seeing you guys practice in the dressing room, i immediately became a fan.
"Why don't we practice like that?!" - Varun

Also, I have like 1 or 2 videos of them practicing. Ajit was literally having them do the same move for about 5 mins to live dhol. It was insane to watch, and their energy never died.
I wanna see, ask if you can post it and post please

Special thanks to:

my team members: who worked hard, a few who learned by video and had stage rehearsal as their first team practice, and for coming up with ideas that made our set what it was/is.

harman deol: picking up the set in a day and killing it on stage, and tying the majority of that paggan, huge help for our team, without you this weekend woulda been a fail.

havish: thank you so much for typing four of our paggan, you said you were rusty but they came out amazing, i know you had to tie for other teams as well so much appreciated

jaggi (aeg): thank you for tying two of our paggan when you had many other paggan to tie, huge help for us

secret pagg tier: thank you, i love you.

ashwin/preeti - liasons, you got us everything we asked for, thank you so much, and sorry we made fun of you so much but really, taking 30 minutes to get from airport to hotel caus you dont remember directions come on now haha

virsa: thanks so much for having us, my only complaint would be the music eff up which made us not able to hear anything on stage for almost 2 whole minutes, but we were able to get through it. i know its not something really in your control with mechanical mess ups, but thanks for makin the rest of the competition enjoyable.

suggestions: lets get some variety in the judges instead of the same ones for the last 3-4 major east coast comps, i mean i understand they are all very knowledgeable and great guys, but i certainly disagree with the way some of the placings worked out (and no thats not just bc we didnt place haha).

Still recovering...

So I had the pleasure of performing with Gajjdi Jawani this weekend... who, I have to say, make it WAYY to easy to like them. What a wonderful and talented group!! Just wanted to thank you ladies and gents for a wonderful weekend. Don't worry-we'll see each other soon (I might have stolen Rohit's belt... so I guess we don't have much of a choice).

Big ups to the Big Apple Committee. I had a lot of fun! Also, thank you to our liaisons-Sanjana and Sunny-for being so great to the team and really having our best interest. You guys were great, and I can't thank you enough! Also, late night Dunkin Donuts = clutch.

Special shout outs to Dilbagh, Hardeep, BABC, Temur (the name which I STILL cannot get that damn special character for), Vic, and anyone who helped us in any way shape or form (half of whom I probably don't remember). You guys are great!

Also, it was a pleasure to meet everyone! Way too many names to list here, as usual after a competition weekend.

Random thoughts:
-I don't know when the SSNY vid will come out, or how well they did, but I loved watching Steve and Nate dance from the side. Also I thought Steve and Achint had good chemistry and were so much fun to watch.
-Harleen, thank you for literally making me laugh my ass off.
-Those belt things were the worst. I kept having to pull mine down during the performance because it was sitting on my diaphragm. Any tricks (other than pinning it-which apparently didn't work for me)?
-This is my first (competitive) performance since BDM. Wow what a rush! Felt nice to do it all again :) Hope I didn't disappoint.
-Next year, would it be possible to hold things closer to each other? I'm only asking because BDM, for example, had the mixer, show, and afterparty LITERALLY in the hotel. Granted-I'm not expecting this again (though it would be a Godsend). But the hotel being within walking distance of the mixer, show, and afterparty would lessen the need for shuttle service. If anything shuttle service would still be needed for teams flying in and out, but it's expected.

I believe we went at about 8 or 9 in the morning? Not really late night.

Joseph Campanella, you helped me out a ton this weekend. I'll say a formal thank you and all of the other things this weekend. See you at practice.

Jaideep, thank you for helping me maintain my sanity. I'll see you at practice as well :)

Also, Sunny took us to DD after the show before the afterparty. DD latte > Starbucks latte.

BAB weekend was amazing, and it was great to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones. the liaisons and the committee really held it down and made it a hell of a lot of fun :) can't wait for BAB 3!

lol glad u enjoyed having me around. had lots of fun chillin with the gajjdi jawani kids and campy n lavesh, u guys did great and i know ull do good in the future. lots of awesome people this weekend, dibagh, jeetu and the rest of the kpgd guys, the singer from nj, babc guys, nana dholi, drunk PPA guy i was sittin behind during the show, mr. partyjatt, ankur, ankush, jaggi, tz,the guardian guys at the afterparty and everyone else i did bhangra with at the afterparty. jabar, sonny, monster, gagan, sukha, and all the other virsa guys(i apologize for not knowing the names) ran the show amazingly, great group of guys and theyre always friendly and willing to help; lots of respect for all the work they put in, they ran the show well and the audience loved it. i went to BAB mainly for the live teams, this was my first time ever seeing live teams perform, and it was an amazing experience. all the teams were incredible nj, dcmpaa, babc, 3D, i loved every performance. nj was solid, talked to their singer before the show, awesome guy and definitely sang good, dude in orange definitely held it together, its scary when ur dancing on your chadra like that but he kept it together and finished the performance. dcmpaa, ricky had some sickkkkk lyrics and nana was amazing on dhol, i thought it was a clean/solid performance. BABC, singer was intense, nasty hek at the beginning, sher at beginning by one of the dancers was awesome too, loved the tumbi playing and jabar is nasty as always on algozey. BABC guys were awesome, lots of energy and nakhra, really enjoyed their performance. my favorite performance of the night was 3D, the best singer of the night, dude was intense, it was tough to focus on just the dancing when their singer was putting on such a show. incredible voice, incredible lyrics, dude was into the performance as much as the dancers were, i got a chance to congratulate him after they won second and tell him how amazing i thought his singing was and the dude completely humble. the 3D dancers were intense the girls and guys were all on the same level, the energy never dropped, they ripped it on stage and i loved every second of it; hope to see them perform live again. great weekend!

edit: sorry bout the kamarkasa(belts) joe, lol i warned you guys

Sounds like BAB was definitely a hell of a weekend. I'm definitely saddened I missed out. Hopefully TZ and my guardian boys were SAFE, and did my share of the partying for me. As well as mah broskeets Kanwar, JD, Neet puttar, hamu, Sid vicious, Ram, Rooh, Ank the Tank, and lastly and most importantly, my Jersey Shore Sardar brother Jaggi.

Oh and the troiika ladies too.

I'll be sure to have a shot for each and everyone of you in wegas this weekend.

Congrats to the BAB committee for putting on a great show from what I've heard, and hopefully I can be at BAB3 next year.

I had a great time at BAB2, it was better than last year, and the staff did a great job of moving things along. There are a few issues to maybe address such as:
-Distance from the hotel to the Venue/Mixer/Preparty. Although the hotel was nice, it was still a bit far from everything. Not a big deal, but maybe something to work on.
-Better after party venue. It wasn't a bad place, but I felt it could've been a bit better. I actually preferred last year's venue more simply because there was more room to dance.

There really weren't problems at all with this show this time around. The liaisons were far more attentive, and we totally appreciated that.

I personally want to thank 3D for giving me the honor of playing chimta for them onstage. I know I told Ajit at AVAP 09 "i will play chimta whenever for 3d", and you held it up. The team was awesome, and it was amazing seeing what 3D could do. From my view on stage, this team did some incredible things. Oh, and the singer and dholi were incredible. That singer was brilliant! I especially enjoyed the Jugni/Jhummar boliyan. I believe 3D deserved 1st place in my opinion. NJ did great and everything, but I felt 3D was simple, and showed what grace is all about.

Oh, the Guardians were cool too <3

I don't really want to write a lot about the show and everything, soooooooo congrats to teams and whatnot.

Oh, and Lilly Singh, you were barely around all weekend. SUP WITH THAT?!
