I was told that captains were informed in the pre-show meeting that points would be deducted for girls hitting their thighs. Is this true, and if so, which judge or judges said that?
I remember Atinder said that for sure, and Govind said that he didn't care if girls did that. I don't think Pashi said anything and Jesse wasn't at the meeting.

Hi BTF :)

Just wanted to give a huge thank you to the entire BAB committee on behalf of Gajjdi Jawani. I especially want to thank Sanjana and Sunny for all their hard work as our liaisons! They were there for us whenever we needed ANYTHING, from late night coffee runs to buying last minute things for us to supplying us with lots of snacks for our numerous food cravings and everything in between. Absolutely amazing people. And it's also fantastic to see another Sindhi girl doing Bhangra!! :D There really needs to be more of us.

Also- huge shoutout to Mr. Joseph Campanella for dancing with Gajjdi Jawani!! I think everyone here knows how friendly and absolutely incredible this guy is. He just made our entire NY experience unforgettable.

Thanks to Dilbagh, Hardeep, and everyone else that helped us out throughout the whole weekend as well! It was the very first Bhangra competition for six of our dancers and we appreciated everyone's support and encouragement.

Overall, aside from all the flight issues, we had a pretty fantastic weekend. So thanks to Virsa for throwing such a sick competition!

Let me re-phrase the question that was asked at the judges meeting during the mixer and has been asked at previous comps as well. "Are there any moves that the judges didn't feel like girls shouldn't do?" I simply stated that I am strictly against Girls doing Thaapi on their Patts. Every judge has their reason as to why that is not appropriate. To make it clear, the point deduction was never mentioned in that conversation.

When you see girls doing this in a routine how does it affect your judging of the team? What I'm asking is - do you deduct points, consider it in your overall impression, disregard it as a personal feeling, what?
