Basic Video Editing Software

Whats up guys,
Just wondering if someone can help me find a very basic video editing software. I dont do anything high def, just low quality vids off a digital picture camera. Right now Im mixing my videos with a live video mixing program, and it gets the job done, but ehh, need something a little bit better. What should I try?

pinnicle?
sony vegas?
or is there something more basic out there?
I use a PC btw.

if you use sony acid pro, sony vegas is a good choice as the layout will be somewhat intuitive for you

adobe aftereffects/premiere is also a good choice (which one you use depends on if you're doing live action like movies or an intro video with effects)

I've never used Acid Pro but Im assuming its similar to Cubase and Pro Tools. I check out Sony Vegas.

for really basic i suggest windows movie maker, if your looking to edit and add effects and zoom selectively etc. you should use Sony Vegas.

Both Sony Vegas and Premiere will have a pretty steep learning curve if you haven't used them before... Pinnacle has a much more user friendly interface, and has decent effects out of the box... It'll be very easy to learn and will yield very good results... Let me know if you need any help with this brother, I can give you a short demo @ DDA if you would like...

That globe thing in Elite 8 is in iMovie, so my guess would be that. Also iMovie is a much better entry program than movie maker

Most definitely, I'd be glad to give you a quick course... If someone shows you what's what etc etc, it'll be much easier to pick it up... I can also give you the crack for Vegas ;D

looks good man, the main weakness is probably the video quality but the actual editing was pretty crisp and clean. Maybe throw in some text just explaining where the shots are or w/e

like "t-minus 30 min. Traffic. sucks." haha stuff like that
