This is your World Cup for Live Bhangra and Giddha!! Come and show the world what you got!!
The two categories are:
Live Bhangra
Bhangra has also evolved over the years in India and in the Western World. It is our duty as a competition to display bhangra that not only entertains but also inspires the youth to keep the tradition alive.
We have taken a pledge to provide a platform that will allow teams to perform to their highest potential. All Bhangra team routines must be live only. Which consists of a dholi(drummer), performers and a singer. You are allowed to add extra instruments like Tumbi, Algoze, Bugchu and etc. We encourage the element of surprise! Creativity is promoted and should be on full display.
Giddha
Just like Bhangra, Giddha has evolved over time as it made its way into the western world. The teasing and fun which is shown in the performance not only displays culture of Punjab but also the new culture of regions where it has found its way. Our goal is to bridge the generations and exhibit a performance that will excite and entertain the masses!! BABG is committed to a standard of performance and we thrive to bring the best out of all the performances. All Giddha teams can perform live or have a pre-recorded voice playback.
