i use virtual dj

depends on what you want exactly. A megamix is easiest done on something like Virtual DJ or Ableton Live.....this is because they happen in real time and are easy to cue up songs and have dynamic bpms

if you want multi-layers...i.e. more than 4 or so then you're gonna want to use studio software, i.e. Acid Pro, Mixcraft, Logic Pro, Soundforge, Audacity,


honestly, GOOGLE it. So much information and videos out there

Acid Pro is what I use to mix. Takes a while to get used to, but once you do, you can't go to another mixing software. Get acid pro 7 and before you ask how do I mix with acid pro, check out Swi's channel on youtube.

from what i've seen acid pro seems to be the best program with the most versatile features and its easy to get.. so you should start off with that.

personally ive never got into acid, Ive been using the same program for my final mixes for 7 years now and Ive completely mastered it and it has half the effects acid does but I can still pull the same quality out.. so just find a program and learn it inside out and your good to go! and try to get familiar with more than 1 program, you can take your mix from program to program and edit it with the special features each program offers and put it together in the end..

virtual dj is still the best for real time mixing

virtual dj is sickk for mixing dhol loops... if u want a custom dhol loop, create it in acid to match the clip of the song u want to mix, and after that use virtual dj to match the beats, its maddddd easyy

acid pro and ableton imo, ableton has much better features than acid but harder to learn
