BTF is mad boring these days, so here's hoping for some interesting discussion:


What is the best routine that didn't place at a competition (excluding Elite 8 because there's only one placing)


My pick: NJ @ DDA 2009 [SIZE=78%]Nachdi Jawani @ Dhol Di Awaz 2009[/SIZE]
Live team pick: SGPD @ PFDF 2009 (this routine still gives me chills) [/size][SIZE=78%]SGPD @ Punjabi Folk Dance Festival[/SIZE]


Looking for some of the older people on this forum to answer too, getting nostalgic about the good old days.

Wolverine Bhangra at Bhangra Blowout 17. As far as a video link- I don't have the YouTube video, but I think it's on Facebook somewhere. Mix was sick too.


(And in addition to excluding Elite 8, prob. exclude WBBC too)

It was BIG shocker when that routine didn't place - I remember making a big deal about it on POL. This was probably when the team as at their "peak" (imho). The performance was a "game changer" in introducing a person (in this case the infamous Jasmine) as a "surprise" factor. The concept of surprising the audience with using a female dancer amongst an all-male squad was brought to life here.


I'll still jam to their mix any given day of the week.

P.S. - Whenever I hear these songs individually, I can't stop but think of LBC's choreography which means that either I'm insane or it was just extremely well done!

Great topic. Haha definitely some of the older bhangra heads will be suited for this topic. Nachdi Jawani at DDA was probably the biggest thing I remember not placing. They also got shafted at VIBC with 3rd place also but thats just my opinion.

As usual a clean set and the red jodi was amazing as well. I wasn't too surprised that they didn't place due to how crazy strong that lineup was but this set would be 1st/2nd worthy at a lot of competitions imo.

Oh I certainly agree. I was very surprised why didn't place at this competition. The routine even seemed more creative and intricate compared PCBCA routines we are used to watching. I wonder what the reason was for them not to place.
