I def understand if he's going through hard times...the economy is not the greatest right now and I know he's gotta take care of his family. I wish you best of luck with that Anil. I just wish you could let us know updates at least every week or every other week. Or at least tell the teams that got IN what the deal is. For me, as a college student I have toplan AROUND competitions (i'm sure lots of others feel the same way) and right now being left hanging suckss...If its canceled just say it...please.

by the way for other teams make sure your check for registration didn't get cashed. Ours got cashed but we made him write us a check back. so hopefully we should get that in the mail soon.

Hey Guys,

Sorry its been a while..Believe me when I say you guys Im not going anywhere with any of the teams money and everyone will get paid. Now I must apologize that I havent kept contact with the teams and kept you you up to date on the status of the show. The good news is I got a job Finally in Houston Tx. Now lets get it on to business. As for the show, the show is now postponed to Feb. 2011. The date will be confirmed once we hear back from the facility.

All teams that were confirmed for Blizzard will receive their money back. To make it up to all the teams this is what we will be doing:

1. All teams confirmed for the Blizzard originally will receive refund checks. Just please let me start getting some money from my job.

2. Also all Bhangra Allstars prize money will be distributed shortly. It may not be all at once.

3. Judges will also be paid.

4. All teams that will be confirmed for next years Blizzard will not have to pay a registration fee.

5. In addition we are trying (please give us time on this) to reimburse teams as much as possible for their hotel bookings for next year. Limiting the amount you put out of pocket is our goal, which includes travel, hotel, food. Now this is something we are working on and as we go forward I will definitely keep all of you in the loop.

Lastly, I want to apologize to all the teams from Bhangra Allstars and Blizzard. Believe me it was not meant on purpose. It was due to the unfortunate circumstances that was going on with me personally. You guys have been kind and patient. I just ask you all to be a little more patient as I start refunding you guys.

Im sorry to all the teams from Blizzard for not keeping you up to date on things. I have been quite down and very very busy looking for jobs and going on a zillion interviews. I ask all teams to please contact me at 518-301-1058 so we can verify all refund chk addresses.

Also any teams that were confirmed for Blizzard and will not be able to attend on the new date in 2011(once announced and closer to the event as we confirm the teams status)..we will open up to the waiting list.

Again Im sorry for not keeping you guys upto date. I think prior to Blizzard the teams that got to know me, know that Im not like this typically. But regardless that still is no excuse. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

...you used all team registration money for your personal stuff and now you will pay them slowly when you get a pay check. WOW. I don't think u r suppose to use registration fee for your car payment or gas, it should be used for the event itself or better yet on the teams.

It's not that simple, I'm not saying that Anil didn't use any money for personal reasons cause I dont know...

but there are sunk costs when running a comp that never happens (most obvious a venue deposit). Since there are no ticket sales, theres no revenue, no sponsorship, nothing. So that means you have all the teams money - sunk costs = not enough money to give back.

Add on top of that the fact that there were also Allstars payments to be given and the money gets really tight.

Moral, don't throw a competition to finance of your previous competition that lost money because people didn't show up

Did anyone ever ask me what happened to the registration money instead of assuming that it went towards gas or car payments as sonali has accused me of? Well since it has been brought up I will explain.

First I didn't even receive half of the competing teams fees. And the money that I did receive went towards shirts that have already been printed for teams. That we can't even get a refund for. Secondly I had fliers made for the show, again money I can't recover.

So that where the money went. So I can't get a refund for those items and that's why I have to wait for a paycheck.

But hey sonali if u have a need for some tshirts for a comp that never happened I'll sell u these for half off. My van could use some gas.

I know Anil personally, and I can assure you he's not throwing comps for his personal profit or anything. Give him a break, I know for 100% damn sure he's going to repay any money he owes. Quite frankly he's learning still, and he's gona make mistakes. Criticize him all you want, but if you were in his shoes you wouldn't appreciate getting shit on...Im sure you all will get ur money back, but until then coming on btf and accusing him of that is stupid as hell.
