Bhangra Blizzard Postponed to the end of March

[Desi Dhamaka]

Im sorry to say that all 3 comps have been postponed. It was really hard for me to come to this decision. The committee for Bhangra Blizzard really worked very hard on the show. But unfortunetly I just lost my job. So financially I will not be able to provide for the teams and the show in a way that I would like to. And to just throw a comp especially Bhangra Blizzard for the hell of it wouldnt be right either. So all 3 comps have been postponed till further notice. I am relaly hoping to have the comp in Oct or Nov instead. Lets see how the job search goes first.

All teams were notified yesterday. Thought Id let everyone else know on BTF. Thanks

Anil

Re: Bhangra Blizzard, Desi Dhamaka, and Bhangra Allstars POSTPONED!

Definitely sorry to hear about your jobless Anil, but don't worry.. it's so common these days. The latest unemployment numbers I read were like more than 10%, but that's only those employers that report to the Department of Labor. Actual unemployment number are probably around 17% or higher. It's a scary time and definitely the worst place the U.S. economy has been since the Great Depression.

Anyway, keep you head up, let's just hope things start to pick up soon. Best of luck in your job search. As others have said, you're a great guy and very professional in the way you handle things, so all of us on BTF really appreciate you coming to tell us things upfront in a timely manner.

All the best,

~ Basim

Re: Bhangra Blizzard, Desi Dhamaka, and Bhangra Allstars POSTPONED!

This sucks for all parties involved - Anil, teams that were going to compete at Blizzard, people who wanted to see who was going to come out top at Blizzard and teams that placed at Allstars that haven't been paid yet. Best of luck, Anil, looking for another job!
