Great show for the most part. show ran smoothly with the exception of a couple awk technical difficulties (one happened during the Pakistani national anthem (sound cut off)--- and the other happened during NCST's performance with the mics) I could only be there for the first part of the show but some good things I saw---Cornell and UVA held it down for the first half of the show.
NCST- Some technical difficulties at the beginning with the mics for the sher--took out that hype/momentum that you guys needed to begin the performance but otherwise u guys carried yourselves well. one dancer who stood out was your guy in green. Sumeet you had the most fun out of that entire team. energy level wise with most of the team--they could not keep up. I would also say at the end when the dancers exited off the stage--dholi should come to the middle and end it out--he needs to be more engaged.
Cornell- Set the tone for the competition. gimmicks hit..fun to watch. One of the crowd favorites from the first half. Enjoyed the kunde slash over the banner. congrats Armaan for ending ur time at cornell with a first place trophy!
UVA- Bilal/Apoorva congrats on a successful year for UVA! Sanchay--your energy made me smile! And I keep on getting more and more impressed with Jill---her development in the bhangra circuit has been great to witness. I loved your khunde segment and that ending was solid in my opinion.
Cal- Solid performance. I just thought that it didn't engage the crowd that much however I liked your khunde segment and your jhummar!
CMU--I wished that they performed during the first half so that I could have seen it. Congrats on your placing---congrats to the seniors for what they have been able to accomplish. This team will be back next year and I look forward to seeing great things from them next season!
Northwestern---heard some bad @$$ things about your performance! Can't wait to see the vid.
Great to meet people from DRP, NW and OSU. BTW Jackie Thind---i hope you don't confuse me with Ram Mahalingam in the future after our talk
