It would have been great to see UMD and Duke in the lineup as they had strong performances last year but credit the committee for creating a more diverse lineup compared to last year's. Good luck to all the teams.

CMUUUUUUUU :) :)

I am very happy to be a part of blowout this year - but I am also sad to see the absence of another North Carolina team, namely one that was the only collegiate team to place at Burgh this year (UNC in case the reference wasn't obvious). I am sure Blowout committee has its reasons for making the selections they did, but I would have personally enjoyed seeing and competing against ALL the best collegiate teams in the country.

No UNC? No UMD? No Duke? How are you going to call yourselves a collegiate championship if you don't have the only co-ed team that placed at Burgh?

while it is interesting to see that certain teams are not in the lineup, the one thing that matters is the audition vid, not prior placings.

Beyond that, they may have wanted more diversity (only one team from each state) and not just NC/VA teams. But it's all speculation. If the show is a success, and all teams bring it, then they didn't make a mistake with the lineup.

I'm glad the line-up is a little more diverse, regionally and stylistically, than it has been in recent years.

Looking forward to the return of Cornell, and DRP!

No doubt the show will be a success because it's Blowout haha! The tickets basically sell themselves after 22 years. And of course, all teams will bring it as usual given the opportunity. But since we don't see audition videos, I will certainly be waiting to see performance videos and look at how much is brought for the sake of regional/stylistic diversity. Can't judge until the comp is over, I guess.

Congrats to all the teams that are competing! You don't have to worry about anything anyone else says able about what the lineup should be. From my experience as a captain I learned two important things when it comes to team relations: 1. Let the haters fuel your fire, 2. Fudhu people always gonna say fudhu shit.
As for Blowout committee, you guys do your own thing, it's your comp, you don't have to worry about what anything anyone else says. Good luck to the teams!
