tthis is EPIC! but i have no idea whats going on with this comp haha, if someone could clarify the set up. if you win this (or place?) do you get into idols? or is this a completely separate comp.

I believe the 12 BC teams are competing for 7 spots, and than those 'top 7 teams' move onto compete at Bhangra Idols-"The Best of the Best" on Oct. 9th. So in order to dance at Idols in the fall (and your a BC team) you have to 'place in the top 7 at Bhanga Idols - BC's Best.

very interesting, this means that a couple weeks from now we will know 8/12 of the lineup for this October's Bhangra Idols! That reality and the whole concept of BC's best is SICK! Love the idea! Good luck to all teams and I'm sure you'll all kill it after talkin smack like that! hahahaa

(8/12 because I'm assuming top 7 BC teams + SGPD automatic due to being the defending champions)

Last idols had 10 teams, 7 local BC teams + SGPD (toronto), ABC (seattle), and KPGD (nc).
Does this mean that this years' idols will not be allowing other outside teams (apart from SGPD, as they're 2 time defending champs) to compete? or will there be another 2 surprise outside teams like last time. not that abc was a surprise cause they went the year as well.

just trying to get an idea of how this year is different from the year that kpgd was allowed to compete

Please note, our championship(competition) is very difficult, where our Registration Package is 65 pages, we have 16 Judges(13 of whom are evaluating just the Bhangra Performance), and we have 4 judging cameras pointed at stage at different angles projecting and recording the teams performance.

In conclusion, we welcome all interested teams to go through our selection process, and if selected, then practice hard to display a stellar performance.
