Bhangra should be in the Olympics, just need that committee as discussed a few months ago to form concrete judging rubrics and criteria and make olympic bhangra very athletic. Who would have a national team?

India
United States
Canada
Pakistan
Australia
UK
Bangladesh [?]
Ireland [?]
South Africa [?]

but judging bhangra is subjective...so how would that work....

err...is gymnastics subjective? maybe....but obvs swimming/basketball/volleyball etc. has a clear winner most of the time.

i guess the only way that would be has have the same judges throughout the whole thing..and a strict rubric that is passed out to the teams...or just have all traditional teams only..

Yes, would have to be either ALL music teams or all Live, and 2 different teams [co-ed, male, possibly all-girl]. Strict rubrics. Subjective judging can be greatly reduced by having very explicit, strict judging rubrics. Would be somewhat like synchronized swimming judging or rhythmic gymnastics, that's the closest example I can think of.

People audition for spots, and a few would make it as alternates. A few people would also be non-dancing coaches and choreographers. I say put together a fresh all-american team rather than take an existing team. Isn't that how it's done for soccer, basketball, other team sports?
