I AM NOT AFFLIATED WITH ANY TEAM AT THIE COMPETITION BUT I AM AN AUDIENCE MEMBER AND I AM AFFLIATED WITH THE VOLUNTEERS AT THIS COMPETITION.

This following weekend I went to BHANGRA IN THE 6IX and it was an interesting experience ever. Overall, teams at this competition were not judged properly, there was teams at this competition that had better execution, better synchronization and cleaner formations and they didn’t place as compared to teams placing. (I am sure videos are out). As, looking at this competition from an audience point of view and from a dancer point of view this competition needs a lot of work. Speaking of judges Neeli Grewal, Hardeep Singh Sahota and Tarnjot Singh (Ricky) these judges were the one that judged this competition but it seemed like a lot of favouritism was done and as per my conversation with one of the judge at the mixer he was talking about manly and feminist style of dancing in bhangra (SERIOUSLY). The most curious part at this competition was on my way to the after party with my volunteering friends I saw the organizer Mr.Prabh Saini jumping aggressively into the judges meeting with some coaches. He was on top of his lungs yelling at some coaches of a team stating “ASK ME ABOUT THE RUBIC MARKS’. Then right after one of the judges Mr.Tarnjot Singh (Ricky) called the security on the coaches. If you’re a judge you can’t be aggressive you’re the teacher at the competition if your student is asking you questions answer them don’t be aggressive. As, being an organizer you shouldn’t be judging someone when you have judges at the competition he was involved in all of the judges meeting with the coaches until the last one where he got busy with the after party but still he came back and jumped in aggressively. As, being apart of the competition I saw there was a lot of discrimination done between the girls and boys teams during performance introductions boys teams where introduce properly but the co-ed and girls teams where not introduce properly. Overall, I have been to so many competition around the world Punjab, USA and Canada basing on other competition this competition had low standards, there was a fight at the after party regarding placing’s between two boys teams. This post is not there to create issues but to make the bhangra circuit even better and bigger so, future generations don’t lack their sabhyachar. I salute the little girl at this competition for being apart of the bhangra circuit at this young age looking at you makes me and my family more attached to the bhangra circuit. Keep up that hard work!!!!

I agree with everything THE REAL JAGGA JATT has to say, back in the day competition placings were based off of execution and creativity. These days I feel favoritism is played more among judges. I am not playing favoritism towards any one team but just putting out my opinion based off of audience perspective. Prabh Saini the host of the competition was saying big things like spreading bhangra and taking it to the next level. That’s great and all but based off his actions as to what I am hearing from THE REAL JAGGA JATT I think he needs to re think what bhangra is about.

I totally agree with THE REAL JAGGA JATT as a volunteer at bhangra in the 6ix there was a lot of partially done with teams . Even I saw Mr.Prabh Saini at all of the judges meeting giving explanations to coach’s regarding the marks. Also, I totally agree with the point if we don’t change the bhangra circuit now our future generations will lack our sabhyachar. There were teams at this competition that had dancers the age of 13, 14, and 15 if kids like these get partially then they are not gonna be interested in staying in the bhangra circuit. I now there is a lot of people viewing this post if you don’t speak up today then keep silent forever. Bhangra in the 6ix 2017 was robbed !!! I thought this happened in India competitions but it happens here to even more worst then India.

Lol, you realize nowadays people who don't place or aren't satisfied with their placings are the same ones who just have to make a fake account and talk shit about the competition they hit. These accounts are saying they agree on changing the bhangra circuit, but yet continue to complain about how judges did not "judge properly", and what should have happened, who should have placed, etc. I think teams forget that you get placed based on the rubric and how many points you score. As a member of Bhangra In The 6ix, I was in the main lobby of the hotel where the judges meeting took place - all team captains, judges and Prabh Saini were at the meeting. I was walking around making sure all team members are getting ready to go to the after party and asking if they need anything - talking about the competition. Not ONCE did I hear or see Prabh Saini "jump aggressively" and "yell at the top of his lungs" during the judges meeting. As an organizer and an experienced dancer I'm sure Prabh Saini knows how to talk with other team members, team captains, judges and understand a judge's decision. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the organizer of a competition being a part of the judges meeting. Prabh Saini said the same thing last year and this year: "if you're not satisfied with your placing, you can talk to the judges as long as you want until you are satisfied." As an organizer, all Prabh Saini was doing was making sure teams are satisfied. And when it comes to changing the bhangra circuit and our sabyachar, majority of the teams today have never danced on dhol and do not know how to. Prabh Saini was the one who said it at the BIT 6IX 2017 mixer "I recommend all teams to start dancing on dhol or at least try to; because that is where bhangra originated from."

@gurtaj28 talking about Mr. Prabh Saini he was there .....since your his team member your obviously going to take his side ...THATS CLEAR but whatever.. my friends volunteered at the competition so, I saw everything . And speaking of fake accounts everyone has the full right to keep whatever name they want to they is no rules and regulations.

@Sukh_indocan13
Speaking of what happened at the judges meeting you really don’t need to give us your point of view. Honestly the post above had a question regarding why Mr. Prabh Saini was at the meetings when he is not judging .....get to the dam point don’t start to blame teams and as I am affiliated with the volunteers at the competition I really don’t care about other teams.

Being there at BHANGRA IN THE 6IX 2017 was a pleasure ,but at the same time some disappointments were witnessed too on the part of SOME participating teams .
A performer is one who has the ability to acknowledge the judges decision and not raise an argument..be greatful that you got the time to sit with the judges and that too plenty.... if the judges are there sitting in front of you to discuss the flaws you and your teams had .. you should be listening to what they have to say and take points down and work on your flaws.. but some teams do things not expected from them... you should be really thankful of the judges that they were there to talk about the performance you gave and share what you did good and not so good.. you just can’t change the fact that something you did was not folk and expect them to accept that as it is and change their judgment on your basis.. doing MIRZA as it is SAHIBA... the coaches should help the team and not cover up their flaws by putting up lame questions and excuses about femininity... being creative is good.... drastic changes to a segment is not at all folk ... people just find it really easy telling the Junior’s in the team and also other teams that the competition was rigged or partial..teams should have the courage to accept the loss and work over it for the next time.... at last i would say if you can’t withstand a loss , you weren’t prepared enough to win too !! Don’t point out the organizers or the judges.... have a look in the mirror , you would definitely notice what you did was wrong!!

I'm not siding with Prabh Saini just because he is my coach, I'm siding with him because I know exactly what went on during the judges meeting. You're asking why Prabh Saini was in the judges meeting if he wasn't judging? As I wrote before, what's wrong with an organizer of a competition being a part of the judges meeting? He was just there to make sure teams were satisfied. As an experienced dancer who has lost and won, he could have helped answer any questions.

Mmmhm.................I am not taking side of any team either the thing is when the team members and the judges are talking why does the organizer need to even stand there while the meeting is happening yah if there is a issue while the meeting they can than call the organizer if needed and also he’s the organizer right he should mind his own business cause he’s not a judge again he’s not a Judge at that time it specifically said JUDGES MEETING no Organizers and Judges okay the organizer does not need to be there. Also both the judges and the coaches are mature maybe the reason your teacher Prabh Saini was standing there cause he isn’t mature himself cause if he was he would know the meaning of what judges meeting is clearly your saying he has been to so many comps etc but he doesn’t know the meaning of judges meeting maybe he needs to go back to school.
