Nice to see that one of the greatest freestyle bhangra teams (VIBE) is getting some respect on a traditonal bhangra forum.Vijay said:WOAH.Hkiran said:Dont forget about VIBE just yet,![]()
i remember going to Zee 2003 in NYC, vibe placed first and i was blown away, although that was one of KJ's first comps too, and well, damn. those 2 performances got me hooked
Sure thing boss, whatever you sayNikhil said:Hey Tarminder, this forum is for all forms of bhangra, not just traditional![]()

Mods, seriously? I could understand if malicious rumors were being thrown out there, but hearing some dancers will be dancing with another team who are somewhat affiliated with them....I find it hard to believe thats grounds for moderation. "Uncertain ideas for the public to discuss" is part of what keeps forums alive. Just my thoughts.bhangrarules said:i hear a lot of NSJ guys will be dancing with NJ
can anyone confirm
Does that mean no gossiping? Gossiping as in the sharing of information that may not be readily known by the public that may or may not be completely true. I think the intention of the gossip needs to be understood before things are modded. If someone was accusing another team of having non-collegiate dancers at let's say Bhangra Blowout (only college kids allowed) with a "I hear Rutgers Bhangra has people from Columbia dancing for them... wtf?", perhaps that should be modded. But things like "I hear some LBC guys are jumping into Sher's routine" seem more curious than malicious.Nikhil said:I see where you're going with this but there are some grey areas of this matter. Discussion is more or less extensions of what is actually occurring and what has occurred. Now, yes there are instances when conversations arise from what may come about in a situation, but the nature of what was supposed, that some dancers may be dancing for a team, is suspicious in that the principle of fact was not present, and the diction and connotation with which it was shared may have been misconstrued to be negative.
While NSJ and NJ are linked together, because thats the information that was shared to the community, its the principle of suggesting such information. Gathering an idea or an assumption and beginning with "I hear" usually doesn't abode well for anyone.
Again, we're not trying to deter anyone from sharing true information that may be beneficial for most people. Merely suggesting that "bhangrarules" should contact any official member of those two respective teams and clear up any confusion.
