Music Teams Announced of the Vision TV presents the 12th Annual Bhangra Nation Competition and Festival

Bhangra Nation has had exceptional interest from teams wanting to participate in this year?s competition and would like to thank all teams for their interest.

Bhangra Nation would like to congratulate the following five teams who have been selected to compete in the Music Category for the October 12 competition. Listed in alphabetical order:

1. Kunja Di Daar
2. Nachdey Gabru
3. Punjabi Beat
4. SFU Elite Bhangra
5. The Michigan Bhangra Team
6. WILD CARD selection

On Monday, September 22, 2008 teams for the Traditional Category will be announced. We thank all teams who submitted their applications.

Also to be announced on September 22, 2008, is the remaining spot for the Music Category. Stay tuned!

We look forward to seeing all of you on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 5 p.m. at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre.

Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, September 23, 2008.

There have been many last minute changes to our music and live line-up, we will announce the updated music teams and live Dhol teams within the week. Bhangra Nation thanks you for your patience.

Bulldawg Da Raaj from Atlanta, George will now be participating in the Music Category.
Kohinoor Folk Bhangra Club from Surrey, British Columbia will now be participating in the Music Category.
Sher Punjab De from Toronto, Ontario will now be participating in the Music Category.

We are happy to announce the wild card team is Shan-E-Punjab Juniors.
