Well, the world in going to end in 2012 (for those who don't know it's next year) so I think we should all be friends, and destroy this immaturity, whatever happens, happens for a reason, and we aren't all going to die if we don't get selected into a competition, their are like 10 gazillion more comps to compete in rather than just sitting at your laptop (computer) and writing hateful posts :) ..if you don't get in, atleast be glad your not stressing about dancing and rather sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying the show.so yeah ! let's all skype and be happy meow ;D

Wow. I understand that there are bhangra "politics" and all but once again it really is down to the preference of the committee to choose you or not. It seems just a little ridiculous to me that you should call out other competitions and then try to justify it for the "love" of bhangra. If you really feel that there are politics then please publicly expose the people that are playing them. If you yourself are playing the politics then well to me your just in the same boat. I really am sad that in Cali there is so much talent yet all of this unwanted or needed drama. Please if you really are doing for the love of bhangra then you will move on to the next competition and do you best at it. Remember the more you sit around and post and complain and do all this other stuff, the less time you spend dancing. Everyone really needs to relax and just go and dance. Thats all I really have to say about this.

Basically, don't apply somewhere you think there is shady business. There's a whole other coast to explore :). Competitions will do as they please. Rigged or not it's their money to burn. Deepak is right there is so much talent in California but at the same time stuff like this happens. You are dancers, whom without a competition can't happen. We all dance for the love of it. When your dancing in front of the microwave waiting for your food to be done, it's cuz you love it. Just.....fuck it! It's not worth the headache it's just warrior...not like...world amazing fantastical Bhangra extravaganza.

1. Instead of looking at our winning track record and our stage performance a vote is casted against us, in which we are told that you guys are not selected. Even though we have placed first at this competition. Warrior Bhangra to be precise.
2. Committee members and other Bhangra team members play this politics game real well. Anything negative that happens at a competition is blamed on us to ruin our reputation.
3. We already know who is going to place or win at Pioneer Bhangra because the only live team performing has no competition plus the committee has selected some nice judges for them.
4.We have no hate towards anyone, we love to compete and showcase our talent on stage.
5. Maybe that’s another reason teams fear us and set up propaganda against us.
6. This is not our ego talking; this is our confidence and our hard work speaking.
7. We could have just simply stayed quiet and followed Mr. Gandhi’s footsteps but that would have taken years to get our point across.
8. This is not a sympathy letter; this is to let the world know what is happening around Bhangra in this State of California .
9. It is very sad to say that our coming youth will be dealing with a lot of politics. Not accepting us at these competitions has not brought us down but it has only made us a stronger team. Thank You.

Sincerely,
Bay Area Bhangra Club

2. Shouldn’t have been creepers.
3. Shouldn’t have been creepers.
^ Classic case of past actions effecting future goals.

4. Clearly sipping on haterade.
5. No team fears you.
6. Ego talking forsure. Making yourself look like an idiot for saying it’s not.
7. “Followed Mr. Gandhis footsteps?” DAAAAAAFcuuuuuk. You guys should fast too like on stage or something to get your score sheets.
8. If you didn’t want sympathy why write this letter?
9. Not really, I think it’s only BABC. I’m pretty sure DTF got into warrior HMMMM I wonder who isn't on the roster or performing?? tricky tricky. And from the looks of it rejection has made you weaker.

I sense a pattern to the MAIN reasons why you guys didn’t get into comps (first three cough cough). And I’m pretty sure it’s not even ALL of BABC, just 1 MAYBE 2 ppl that give you guys this rep. Wouldn’t it be a good idea to get rid of this person causing all this trouble for you guys??

Not going to lie, but that entire 'letter' mad me a little angry. I think one thing a lot of teams neglect to think of is that organizers put in A LOT to make these shows happen. It took me about 7 months to get everything for JBD ready and I still was sitting in the hotel on Friday (missed the mixer) to get everything ready - not to mention the money I put into from my own pocket. We organize because we wouldn't exchange it for anything due to our love for Bhangra. Like myself, (from what I know) some of the organizers of Warrior are full time students - what person in their right mind would organize a show of this caliber along with going to school if they didn't love it more than life itself? I think it is right for competitions to partially base their decision on the team's reputation/past actions. Why make the same mistake and run into the same problems.
