I think the question was more about which teams served as ORIGINS for later teams, rather than what teams are COLLABORATIONS of experienced dancers. Any independent team will likely have members who have switched over from an earlier ind/school team. Certain teams (Nachdi Jawani, SIAC, and Cornell have been mentioned so far) have had a lot of branching.

Let A, B, C, D..etc be bhangra dancers and let the notation [] be representative of a team or a grouping of bhangra dancers.

Case A: Diaspora
Definition: [A, B, C] > [A] + (B] + [C] or any such variation.

Case B: Collaboration
Definition: [A] + + [C] > [A, B, C]

Case C: Crossover
Definition: [A, B, C] + [D, E] > [A, B, E] + [C, D]
