I like that there is a mix of established and fairly new teams - gives us something different to look forward to!

It sounds like this is gunna be like Groundshaker 2008 - like 6 hours long...ahhhh.

I'm sad now because you graduated and are no longer in highschool. I can't make the highschool/puberty joke anymore.

Unless you don't believe that A) DC on the east coast, B) Elite 8 took place in DC or that C) SGPD competed at Elite 8, I'm pretty sure it already happened.

Official Hotel?

I never saw a hotel near York College or in Jamaica. From my knowlege, only hotels near Jamaica are near JFK airport. Are the committee providing transportation from the hotel to the venue? or are the teams taking MTA?

Jamaica, NY is gonna be packed. Good luck to all the teams getting there safely.

Oh haha my bad, I completely forgot about Elite 8. And besides as much I would love to go to DC, I wouldn't have been able to go the comp. So lemme rephrase that. Can't wait to see SGPD compete in the Northeast =D (unless they competed here too and I am just forgetting). Now, if all these sick teams could just come to BBC, that would be soo perfect.

Ahah yeah man.... I wish this comp was actually in Manhattan... it would have been even more epic!! It's ok tho it's only a 30 minute subway ride away.

We find this post very rascist, as our fellow Black community has also contributed towards the Bhangra community. Regarding the area, the venue is at York College, where several South Asian shows have been hosted, which your and our families have attended without any such "fear" that you are implying to our visiting teams. On top of that the list of South Asian students who attend York College is countless as well. To top that, South Asian community living in Jamaica is pretty high as well. Let alone the venue, every single college has its own high security.

The venue also provides ample amount of parking.

Regarding the official hotel, it will be specifically released to the teams.
