In addition to the placings, there were also other awards presented.

We would also like to thank teams for being cooperative with the setbacks this weekend, as well as apologize for the afterparty situation. Any and all feedback is welcome to help Big Apple Bhangra improve as a whole.

Thank you once again.

Stay Folk.

A big shout out to the BAB committee for organizing another smooth competition weekend from myself and the rest of the NEBC family. Congratulations to SMD, ASD, & UVA for placing!

Quick feedback -->

Mixer: Ton of fun. Games were great and did not drag on unnecessarily long. Venue was absolutely amazing for a mixer... felt like I was at a mini engagement party.

Practice Space: Virsa committee was very cooperative with us regarding making sure we got enough practice time with an actual speaker since the room/speaker situation was limited. Thank you! Afterwards we proceeded to use a shady parking lot til 4am but made some memories nonetheless! :)

Tech Time: Great. No issues other than lighting not being finalized yet. This is usually typical at most comps and venues so was not a big deal to us. We put our trust in the lighting guy to get it right at the show lol

Show: Smooth but after team 10, it did feel as though it took too long to finally get to the placings. Would be great to get any singers/performers on stage very soon after the last competing team. On stage speakers seemed low which was concerning at first, but was ok. Lighting was solid. We were 9th in the show... unfortunately by the time we performed a good chunk of the audience had left but hard to control that :-/

After Party: LOL. We were amped for it, but right before we left for the after party, we got a message saying that it was cancelled because of multiple fights breaking out. Based upon when we heard that, feels as though this happened before most teams even got there in the first place... meaning non comp-related people caused the clash. Not really sure what happened here, committee would have the best answer for it. Either way I know VIRSA puts in a ton of effort into its events, and I'm sure it would be been a blast.

Last but not least, a big thank you to the judges for the extended feedback session!
