well...
if you are just driving it for normal use meaning like daily things and stufff:

Audi A4 - its a bit more expensive then the IS but pretty much the same as the beemer and its more powerful better handling and more space! interior is much better then the beemer too but not better then the IS.

Mercedes C300 - power wise just about the same as the beemer but better then the IS. its pretty much the same as the beemer but its more luxurious.

if you like to drive normally but sometimes u like to speed =D

Mitsubishi Evo X - looks better, wayyy faster, better brakes, better suspension, better safety. THe only thing is its not a brand name like bmw, merc, etc
notice how none of those were the cars that i asked you about? haha....
but seriously, i drove the A4, hated it...
i have a mercedes right now, i didnt like it enough to get another one.

so those two are out of the question...

LEVEL UP 745 LOL
technically, leveling down, cuz that would be used =P
...

and as far as maintenance goes, im leasing the car for 3 years..so im thinkin all ill have to worry about is like the regular maintenance like oil changes and whatnot, which brings out another plus point for the beemer. they are giving free maintenence for the whole 3 years whereas the lexus ill have to pay for...

now who knows...dealers are assholes...maybe like 6 months down the line bmw will screw me and give me huge bills to fix stuff that isnt actually broken... i know the lexus dealership does not do that because my last car was a lexus...

Leasing vs buying... what are the pros and cons of each? I've always believed in buying, but I'm wondering why people lease besides the fact that they can't afford the car...

Lets say you bought the car......for example $40,000

3 years later you decide to sell it... lets say it sells for $25,000.. in the end you paid about 15,000 to have the car for 3 years right?

thats exactly what a lease is. they take the buying price, and then the price that they expect it to be after depreciating for three years, and you just pay the difference.
So in the end it does come out a little cheaper, but thats not the main reason while people lease cars.

-the car is always under warranty
-you get perks like free maintenance for the term of the lease
-no stress about selling the car afterwards.

i feel that i dont need to buy the car, because in my case, i would simply sell it after 3-4 years and buy another car. also, i dont really mod my car like most people do. i like it stock. so lease is definately for me.

lease isnt for everyone. if you drive a lot, like to mod your car, or like to have ownership, then u shudnt lease.

my 0.02.

a lease costs much more in the long term though. So if you're ok with not building equity (or don't care about ownership) it's a good alternative. Leasing can be mad complicated though. Sounds like Sonuu knows what's going on, but to anyone else be careful (get gap coverage, etc)

if you're just leasing go with beamer

yeah there is still alot more that goes on with a lease than what i said.. like for example gap coverage, fees, etc... so dont just use my description and think of a lease as definately the way to go... i did my research before deciding on a lease so i know whats goin on..

but yea, back 2 topic.. im probably gonna end up with the beemer

go for the 328 between those two but if you're open to other cars check out Infiniti's G37S or G37x. overall, they are a lot better in performance, interior look and exterior look. the specs are sick on the G37S.

ive driven both the IS and the 3 series, and I gotta give the advantage to the 3 series. While the IS looks better (to some people), the 3 series is a more solid car all around. The 3 series is a little heavier than the IS which allows you to handle better and means you wont be all over the place. ALOT more spacious than an IS (there is barely any leg space in the back seat).

Although the 3 series does require a good amount of maintenance, i still think its still better overall than the IS.

Get the Beamer. It's quicker and overall better. The IS has a beautiful interior, feels like you are the captain sitting in a cockpit. But the 250 drives like crap and is slow as hell. I've already had 3 flats on it, and it's just really really slow.
Everything else about the Beamer is better, and the interior is not that bad just a little boring, much better drive though.
