Yeah this definitely isn't the strongest lineup Boston has put out especially compared to last year's lineup. I'd say VCU, RU, Jawani, and Empire will be in the mix for placing and Sher and 3D could be as well. Decent lineup but doesn't compare to last year's when Shan-E, DRP, LBC, and AVA all competed.

I thought these placings are reasonable but I would think

1. VCU for sure
2. Jawani/Empire/Sher/BMW
3. 3D or a Boston Team

Wild Card with the guardians of bhangra though....

yeah its true my placing above don't really leave any team out (8 of the 12 teams are in there haha) but that's cuz judging has seemed to be fickle with DRP as 1st last year, VCU 2nd, and 3rd going to Shan E and MIT tied. The year before I think it was 1st Duniya 2nd LBC, 3rd Cornell.

so what kind of teams do they like? not easy to make up a paradigm.

Being pretty much the only new team on the roster is definitely a major challenge and an honor, but hopefully we'll be able to bring some heat and entertainment. For anyone who's curious (I know a few of you have asked me what team I'm from) we're a compilation all-state team out of florida, having danced across three different teams. Myself and my teammates are all crazy excited for boston and are gearing up. Congrats to all other teams who made the cut! Looking forward to meeting and partyin w/ ya'll in boston!

Arjun and all, we will be doing a poll and prediction thread one week before all competitions, to hopefully take into account any lineup changes or breaking news, etc. Just a part of BTF's commitment to proper and thorough competition coverage!

[Boston Bhangra]

Just to let everyone know, we will be launching the official Boston Bhangra pre-competition poll shortly. The winner of the poll will get a shout out at the competition before they perform on stage.

After the competition is over, we will have a post-competition poll, where we will determine the people's champion based on votes. The highest vote getter will win a prize that is TBD.

Also, in case people didn't know, this competition will be aired internationally in North America, Canada, Europe, the UK and potentially Indian/Pakistan sometime in December/January. This will be the only competition to go trully global and we are very excited about that prospect! The show will be aired on Sahara One, Filmy and potentially a couple other stations. We will keep you posted.
