Hello BTF!

Here is the video from our match up win against DRP at West Coast Bhangra 2017. Please leave your comments and feedback so we can continue to improve our set for the remainder of our competitions this year!

Huge shout out to Harji and @vaibhav and Simran! Could not have made the set without your help. Harji in particular was a blessing lol we were in an uphill battle from the beginning with a lot of new dancers this year. Vaibhav was hella tough on Jesse and I in terms of ideas and feedback, just so we wouldn’t settle for anything less than our full potential.

In terms of mix, I would not have been able to make it without my sister, Sehej, and again the one and only vaibzzy. Countless times, I made my sister listen to every update, and she gave great feedback, and even found me instrumentals to use (@photo). Vaibhav...oh what can I say? He's just mean LOL jk, he introduced me to mixing and doesn't ever hold back when he knows I can do better! Love y'all.

Last but not least, couldn't have done it without Timmy and the BBD Squad. #ohballe #bruaah #BBDs #Timmy #hotseat

Hey guys, just some quick thoughts watching the set.
-Your set it pretty fast, as what seems to be the trend in the circuit, but just because it is a trend in the circuit doesn't mean it's a requirement, feel free to establish a more unique identity.
-Some of your more inexperienced dancers aren't finishing moves, extending arms, lifting up knees. If it's is going to have the pace that it does, it needs to have effective execution.
-Khunde was pretty sloppy, so I'd watch out for that.
-I was underwhelmed by the formations, there wasn't any particularly exciting movement-it just felt like a bunch of different standard spreads and lines.
I think you guys had a good opening, energy seemed solid across the board, dancers had the right mindset with regards to nachra/stage presence. All in all a solid set that with a couple of tweaks can be a great set.
Hope that helps

Dig the strong intro with heavy jhummer (be a lil more coordinated tho- i think yellow jodi on the right was 1/2 beat off during most of it)
saaps- kinda came and went. was it good? yea... was it memorable? not really. i think pace was an issue. you went for a fast hard hitting segment but i feel that you missed the mark

phumuniyan- nice, the birds were clever and pretty cool addition

Khunde- rushed, uncoordinated, not memorable. i can see waht you guys were going for but it missed for sure.

Jhummer- your gimmick (to me) was real awkward. you guys integrated it with a fade in and fade out of the lights. thats kinda lazy. i like the idea but did not like the execution. the rest of the segment has great choreo, but you guys did not execute it well (dancers are off/a lot of individual mistakes). if youre gonna have hesitations, stops, and pauses in your choreo, you have to make sure the team is on point with hitting them and jumping back in to choreo.

The pao pao bhangra segment- was it great? no. was it cute? sure.

chaal segment- i really liked this. hit hard. you guys all seem in to the segment and like youve waited 2.4 minutes to go into hard hitting choreo (instead of filler segments, dont hate me :p)

Seg 6:20-7min- im getting amped. i like the chore an i like the execution (more on this below)

7-end- standard.

you guys have great dancers and obviously great choreographers. butttt it shouldnt take me 6 minutes into a routine to start feeling the flow. i think you guys went for gimmicks when the momentum wasnt built up enough and didnt utilize the skills of your dancers well enough in the first half of this routine.

if you have any questions please dont hesitate to get in touch
