Few thoughts from the show while I wait for my flight:

1. Sound - seemed to be an on-and-off issue with teams. Some mixes bumped and some did not, and it was clearly noticeable from the audience
2. Logistics - sweet jesus, don't know what happened with rigging and all that jazz, but tech time was super delayed. Very little downtime from tech time to show to post-show.
3. Saw only a few teams, but DRP - wow that was great. Audience loved the set, and y'all came out on fire throughout.

I didnt go to Bruin but this is HUGE issue at all compt. It has nothing to do w/ venue but the mixes themselves.

Most mixer dont know much about the technical aspect about this, so you really cant blame anyone unless the teams have someone who does.
It'd be nice if every compt released the audio spec they have going so the mixer who do know anything about audio, can work around it.

I have an immense amount of love for my people on the Bruin Bhangra committee, they invested soo much time and effort into this show. That being said, I hope this comment isn't taken in the wrong context. However, in relation to this particular topic, there was in fact a technical issue with sound playback. The issue was not with the mixes themselves, but a technical reason as to why some teams sounds was chest thumping, and others not.

Congrats to DRP and all the other placing teams! Can't stop watching BASS's video, it was beautiful. After watching Empire's video, though, pretty surprised to see Empire tie BASS for third place. Thought BASS was better in almost every way possible, but at the end of the day, I'm no judge. Anyone else have any opinions?

Was an amazing line up, cannot wait to see all the performances again. Congrats to DRP who pulled off a highly entertaining set as well as clean. FCB again did not fail to excite the crowd through their 20 man set which was both clean and as always energetic. The surprise package however was BASS. Hardly knew anything about this team, yet they pulled off a highly entertaining set involving the most folk bhangra out of any team that performed, which was refreshing. The Jagga Jatt gimmick was simply a game changer, never seen anything like it. Hope to see them perform more often in the NA circuit. NSG's mix was a fantastic one and the Bindrakhia hologram was dope!!
