From my first Bruin experience (2011) until this one, Bruin every year has improved and improved. This was def the best yet. I'm not picky, and I understand that things happen and the committee always tries to do the best thing possible under the circumstances presented. Here are my pros and cons:

Pros:
- Pre party and AP seemed to run very smoothly from my vantage point. Always a great time at Bonaventure, and the AP spot was DOPE!
- Everything related to the show was amazing. Committee was always very responsive and down to make anything happen in terms of gimmicks/props and even were willing to go out of there way and communicate with the theater folks to make things happen.
- Our (FCB) liasons were beyond on point pre weekend and during the weekend. Shout out to Janki and Sukhi and whomever was the head of liasons.
- Venue staff was always down to work with us to make sure our stuff would work properly and were very helpful.
- Transportation being provided was awesome! From the airport and to all events during the weekend.
- Tshirts were DOPE!
- Mixer spot was great

Cons:
- Hotel was nice, but its the Omni. They were going to be uptight from the start. But the practice spaces provided were great.
- Subway gave me a ridiculously upset stomache. I only got to watch Panj and VanCity because of this...
- Tech time running late isn't a big deal. But communication about what time it was changing to was a big issue. It went from 10 30, to 11 50, to 1 50, back to 12 30... It got us really out of rythm, and made us change plans for post tech time.

Otherwise, you guys killed it! Favorite Bruin experience, and this is me saying it without any placings thoughts. Organization was on point.

This is FCB's 4th trip out to LA. It's worth it every time. It's so much fun. I encourage every team to go and experience it. Independent teams: Save up the money and go. College teams: Tell your dancers to plan for it, save up the money and go.

I'll add more as I think of it. Thanks again for a GREAT time!

Special shoutouts to Jiya, Jasmine, and Vaibhav! You guys were amazing!

First of all, a huge thank you for allowing Royal Bhangra & Shaan Punjab Di to do what we do on one of the biggest stages out there. We felt nothing but support and excitement from the committee and the other teams from day one and throughout the weekend. Our mission was to expose the audience to live bhangra, encourage more girls to dance, and get the circuit excited about live bhangra again. I think we accomplished it

+ Jiya & Company - you are AWESOME. Bruin committee cares about the teams, the audience, is very reasonable and accomodating. I really don't have any negatives to say besides the obvious ones like keep tech time on schedule (stuff happens... it's understandable) and that the hotel is always too expensive and fancy for a bunch of bhangra teams.
+ Our liaison Saira Purewal was THE BEST. Not only at the comp, but in the weeks leading up to it. Saira was reliable, knowledgable, helpful, and extremely supportive not to mention super cool and fun :)
+ Comradery of teams was amazing as always. The captains GroupMe came in handy for seeing who had an extra kato, scissors, hair spray, whatever.

I hope there will be many more years of Bruin Bhangra and you continue to maintain your reputation as a fun, well-run, top-knotch competition.

Also - the level of teams was insane! Only got to see parts of Vancity, FCB, and DRP but wowwwwww cannot wait for these videos. Everyone brought their A-game

Thank you!

My first Bruin experience was with BK and this year it was with Furteelay. BOTH times it was amazing! The committee is awesome. They had a vibe that you don't always see with every committee. People actually made sure you had a good time. This comp is definitely up there with TDot as one of my favorites. Shout-out to our liaison, Sunny, who made sure we got everything we needed and when we needed it. You're the man!

Pros:
-I appreciate that you guys let teams turn their mix and lighting in the night before. That was nice. :p
-Mixer was much better this year compared to 2014. It was fun. Double blind keeps the show order fair
-Transportation was good as well.
-Sound system for the venue was sick!!!

-Overall everything was smooth.

Cons: Only con I saw was the hotel. And those points have been addressed above. You guys should try to get the hotel again from 2014! That one was sick.

All in all, Bruin in my experience, is a very well run competition. You get this feel like it's the playoffs or NBA finals for the Bhangra circuit lol. Everyone brings their A game and it's really competitive. Thank you for giving Furteelay an opportunity to compete in the west! I hope you guys keep it going and I hope I can make it out again next year. ;D

The hotel told me they charged an extra $100 "cleanup fee" to every single room booked under bruin bhangra -____- Was everyone else charged?

Another great Bruin in the books! Congratulations to the all of the teams and committee

Bruin added Post-show meetings between Judges and Captains. Maybe keep this in the venue right after placings are announced as opposed to the hotel. Seems like a lot of time was wasted and teams wanted to get to the After-Party ASAP.

Looking forward to next year!
