I'm liking these mixes! Pretty good, might sign up soon. Quick question.. what programme do most of you guys use? You see I use Pro Tools but its handy to use to make music from scratch. Beatmatching wise its a f####ing pain in the ass. I hear Acid Pro is good.. and has a tempo match or something like that? Does it have its own plug-ins and its easy to use and/crack/download? Let me know. I have Ableton too btw

Join in! Most people I know either use ableton or Acid, although my little brother makes remixes using pro tools (not bhangra). It's definitely harder to use PT for beatmatching, but it teaches you to have a really good ear. They can all work, though.

like Jfried said. most popular are ACID and Ableton, but it really comes down to personal preference.

all DAWs are pretty much the same. Just comes down to plugins and UI.
Try out different DAWs, and stick with one or two that you like. (I use Ableton and ACID for basic mixing, and Pro Tools for more advanced stuff that requires recording).

Like Mithu & Jfried mentioned, there's a lot of programs out there that many people use. I use a mixture of Acid, Mixcraft & Cubase because I feel comfortable with them. My suggestion - experiment with various programs that are out there; just download the demos at first and then pick one or two that YOU feel comfortable with. At the end of the day, it boils down to YOUR creativity and YOUR level of comfort with these programs. There's no point in you getting Pro Tools just because everyone else is mixing on it, but you're finding it hard to mix using it. Once you find your niche with these programs, invest and purchase it. Yes its a financial hit, but in the long run, it saves you from unwanted bootleg patches and possible viruses etc.

Just my 2 cents. hope this helped.

All the posts REALLY helped... I may download Acid and try it out. I'll get use to a programme and may enter in this competition. Really enjoying it so far and I'm sure a lot of other people are too

I don't know if this would count as Bollywood, but u can do Why this Kolaveri Di :)

I would love to see some good remixes of Kolaveri Di
Ya all the vocals and the different instrumentals would be so awesome to hear in a GOOD remix lol. Also, another song I just thought of was Kisi Disco Mein Jaye ;D #Govinda
